The Midwifery Model of Care

The Midwives Model of Care is a fundamentally different approach to pregnancy and childbirth than contemporary obstetrics. However, midwifery care is not always an option for birthing families or available in a medical setting. Integrative midwifery care serves to complement the primary care received by offering more holistic and individualized guidance and support throughout the childbearing year.

Testimonials

I am very grateful for the support Hayley provided early in my pregnancy. With the wave of emotions and uncertainty when I first found out, I didn’t know where to start so I reached out to Hayley. The information and support she gave me helped me feel at ease as I experienced all the signs and symptoms of pregnancy. She helped me get the appropriate lab work and first ultrasound while I was deciding who I wanted my primary birth provider to be and where I wanted to give birth. She gave me great referrals for my birth team and my experience with them has been wonderful. I’m so glad I consulted with her because it set me on the right path on choosing what was best for me when I was feeling overwhelmed and worried. If you’re not sure where to start when you get your “big fat positive,” I highly recommend reaching out to Hayley.

I am so thankful that I found Hayley! Before becoming pregnant, I was not aware that consultative care existed and this unique offering really gave me a sense of calm on my pregnancy journey. Working with Hayley provided my husband and I with the knowledge we needed to feel empowered going into our daughter’s birth. The hospital system and my OB were often times rigid, and Hayley offered compassionate care and answers to our many questions throughout the process. She helped us prepare for labor and birth, and it was so helpful to have her assistance during the immediate and delicate postpartum period when we were just figuring everything out. Hayley brought a positive energy to our home and we looked forward to learning new things at each of her visits. I can’t say enough good things about her and would love to work with her again if we have another child!

Hayley was there for us the moment we found out we were expecting. She ordered our first sonogram before we chose an OB. She worked with us as a parallel caretaker throughout the entire pregnancy — helping us navigate the often rigid and impersonal hospital system. Hayley showed up to listen calmly and provided us with confidence and courage to have the birth experience we wanted.

Hayley was truly a guiding light after the birth of my child. Her calm and knowledgeable care was exactly what I needed to feel confident moving into a new phase of life. The post partum time is full of changes and from the big things, to the mundane details Hayley was perfectly willing to provide expert guidance, information, and resources. Her quality of care is top notch and I would absolutely recommend Hayley and her specific brand of good witch energy to anyone looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and truly kind midwife for care after birth.
